LADYBUGS

Age: (young) 2 year olds

The Ladybugs of Clockwise Learning Center are classified as our “early” two year olds. Our Ladybug classrooms have been specially customized and designed to provide all the essentials our educators and your child may need throughout the school year. Each classroom projects a safe, warm, cozy space that makes your child feel just like they are at home.  

Ladybug educators incorporate lesson plans and activities that focus on the fundamentals of learning and social development. Curriculum for Ladybugs is specifically designed to strengthen your child’s independence, social skills, behaviors, academic preparation, and their ability to receive and follow directions in both a private and group setting. Ladybug daily lesson plans include: recognition of people, objects, numbers, letters, shapes, words, and opposites. Scheduled activities include: Circle time, story time, educational play time, and group projects, along with various sensory activities such as music/ song recognition.  

The goal of our Ladybug curriculum is to establish and identify the tools and skills needed for successful learning and social interactions through knowledge and positive reinforcement. It is important to not only introduce and establish these social and academic tools, but also to recognize the signs of each child’s interest in, or readiness for further development. When these signs become consistently present in our Ladybugs, they are ready to move on to the Ducklings room.
