DUCKLINGS

Age: 2 years

The Ducklings class is where your child will begin forging into their independence. Ducklings immediately learn how to be responsible for their belongings, their actions, and themselves. All of our Ducklings are taught to safely eat using utensils, drink using standard cups, and regular toilet training begins on the very first day.  

Our Ducklings learn the value of teamwork early. They will work as a team to keep toys and play areas clean, neat, and organized. Ducklings learn to navigate through play time, lunch time, and bathroom breaks as a team. Ducklings are encouraged to share, support, and help each other as much as possible.  

Academic goals for Ducklings are limitless; but typically include number, letter, and color recognition; along with counting to 20, and the introduction of 3 dimensional shapes. A special focus will be placed on positioning, sequencing, and categorizing. Ducklings will also practice dressing themselves daily with socks, shoes, and jackets. Scheduled educational and sensory activities for Ducklings include music time, story time, play time, and song/ singer recognition coinciding with each letter of the alphabet. Weekly themes and stories will be incorporated with each daily lesson plan. Weekly themes initiate conversations about several new topics each week, and story time provides an opportunity for continued learning each day.
