TADPOLES

Age: 3-4 years old

The Tadpoles class continues the encouragement of self exploration, independence, and successful social skills; but also adds a new focus on academic preparation and discussions. Tadpoles are expected to discuss and describe emotions, thoughts, and feelings using words and pictures. Daily lesson plans, group activities, and weekly book themes are selected to incorporate an early foundation in reading, writing, and study skills.

Tadpoles are introduced to early writing and tracing for Pre-K, an understanding of the sounds each letter of the alphabet makes, the days of the week, months of the year, along with seasons and holidays associated with each of them.

Curriculum for Tadpoles also includes, but is not limited to: identifying animals, shapes, letters, numbers, counting to 20, identifying and repeating patterns, along with various other group educational topics and activities. Scheduling for Tadpoles includes: circle, story, and discussion time, as well as organized play and group activities. The goal of our Tadpoles class is to develop an advanced understanding of the subject matter and tasks required in Pre-K and Kindergarten.
